Our U.S. Congress recently passed legislation that extends and expands the previous home buyer tax credit. This new and improved version offers $8,000 to first time home buyers, as well as $6,500 for so-called “move-up” buyers. These move-up buyers are defined as having held their primary residence for the past five years.
